Real Customer Service
I've had the BabyQ for just under two years. Regulator quit working. Called Weber Customer Service after recorded message played I waited about 12 seconds and a real LIVE person was on the line with me and she spoke ENGLISH! Replacement was sent and was received within 7 days.
How come some companies get 'customer service' and others don't have a clue?
Buy Weber, you can't go wrong.

Excellent little grill - Cooks evenly, like a full-size
Aside from being the best looking portable grill I saw, this Weber cooks like a full-size grill. Most of the portable grills I've had over the years used flimsy wire racks, whereas this model has a cast-iron cooking grate (that weighs as much as the entire rest of the grill!).
As long as you let the grill warm up properly (so the big grate gets hot), you will get the same results that a full-size grill will produce. When I moved recently, I started using this model as my only grill, and, so far, I have no desire to get a full-size, as this one is just as good.

Fantastic little BBQ
What a great little BBQ. SO easy to put together, use and have fun with.
We have only tried this grill 3 times so far, but I have to say that it greatly exceeds our expectations. For one thing I am very surprised that the gas lasts as long as it does, so far we are still going on our first little tank, and we have grilled quite a bit of food already.
I highly recommend this to anyone looking for a small compact yet great quality BBQ. This is a Weber - how could you go wrong?
The only reason for the four stars is the size of the grill, otherwise I am very please with this product. It get's hot enough for steaks and is easy to clean. Easy to light and cools off quickly.
I bought the Weber Q-100 for my son. He loves it. He has an appartment while in college and says it is great. I'm thinking about getting one to replace our larger grill.

good grill for small portions
This is a great grill to use for small portions. Great to take camping. The grill part is very heavy, though and not as easy to clean as I thought it would be. Over all, I am very pleased with this product and would recommend it. You do need a table or the grill cart to use with it.

Best Weber We've Owned
Bought this grill to replace a full-size Weber grill. We absolutely love it. Cooks food quickly and evenly. Has a great "grilled" taste. Easy to clean. Doesn't weigh much so easy to move around if needed. The propane tanks are easy to remove and replace. Some folks had mentioned that they were hard to find but they are the same portable tanks that welders use. You can find them at Meijer's, Lowe's, etc in the hardware isle. They run about $3.50 per tank. We added up the costs for grilling and figured over a summer we spent about the same amount on the disposable tanks and we did to fill our full-size propane tank. Would high recommend this to anyone looking for a grill.

perfect for apartment dwellers
Been using this for a couple of yrs now. Our apt only allowed gas grills so we looked at this. Still on the same tank and we grill out at least once a week. We moved apts since then and moving it was no problem. there are replaceable drip pans and the cart that you can buy is well worth it. After getting the 3 needed accessories (grill brush/scraper, tongs, spactula) this baby has been rockin and rollin since assembly. And that is as easy as connecting a hose to a faucet.
Perfect for 2-3 people or individuals.

Awesome Grill!! Best Purchase I've Made This Summer!!
Got this grill from Amazon roughly 2 weeks ago after seeing it in a retail store. WOW!!! Not only did I save $30 on Amazon, it showed up with Free Shipping. Easy assembly in about 10 minutes and the quality of the materials is top notch. Have used it 5-6 times in 2 weeks and fires right up on the 1st push every time. We have cooked burgers, dogs, chicken, steaks, lamb chops...and everything has been lights out!! Cooks evenly throughout and the cast iron grill plate makes great grill marks.
Read on the Amazon reviews about lining it with aluminum foil to make clean ups easier....so we did that and it works great. Highly recommend doing that.
We had a cheap, $20 W*l-M*rt grill and it broke after 3-4 uses. Go ahead and spend the extra money and get this Weber. This will outlast the cheap grills and you will save money over the long haul. Easily the best purchase we have made this summer!! Don't even think about another.

Best grill I've ever owned
Since buying the Baby Q, I haven't considered using my charcoal grill. The Baby Q heats up fast, cooks evenly, and I can finally rely on the times specified in recipes without checking the grill all the time. The cart that is sold with the Q is a gem also. This grill has more than enough space to cook for 4-6 people.

Surprisingly Hot!
For those of you wondering if this grill gets hot enough to cook steaks... well it definite does. I had looked into the more expensive unit like the Solaire Anywhere grill because of its infrared feature, but after reading about how it tends to burn and undercook everything, I opted for this Q-100. It surprisingly gets hot enough to seared 1.25" rib-eye steaks due to the heat conductive iron-cast grate. By the way, the bigger 16oz propane bottle now fits the grill without modification - it even said so in the owner's manual. Also, save yourself money by getting the Charbroil 4 foot adapter hose (model #4623) at Home Depot instead of the one from Weber. From a guy who's accustomed to grilling steaks on a Viking Ultra-Premium T-Series grill, I can say that this is a nice portable unit that doesn't sacrifice much on performance. See some sample images I uploaded.

GREAT PORTABLE GRILL!!
I JUST RETURNED FROM A 5 DAY CAMPING TRIP IN OUR MOTORHOME. THIS WAS THE FIRST TIME I HAD A CHANCE TO USE OUR NEW WEBER 100 GRILL. WOW! WHAT A SURPRISE. I COOKED ON IT EVERY NIGHT. IT WAS EASY TO SET UP, FIRED RIGHT UP,AND COOKED THE MEAT JUST RIGHT. IT IS EASY TO CLEAN. I BOUGHT THE FOLDING CART FOR THIS MODEL. I WOULD RECOMMEND IT ALSO. IT WAS EASY TO SET UP AND TAKE DOWN FOR STORAGE. IN WALKING THROUGH OUR LAST RV PARK I NOTICED SEVERAL WEBER GRILLS LIKE THIS ONE. IT'S A GREAT LITTLE GRILL FOR YOUR RV! IT DOES A BETTER JOB THAN MY LARGE ONE AT HOME!

Greatest grill ever !
This grill is fantastic. I use it all the time and never use my old, larger gas grill or charcoal grill anymore. I bought a 3' adapter hose so I could run it off my propane tank, and it never seems to runs out of gas - it's so effecient. I love how quickly it heats up and how it sears my steaks. I also bought the folding cart and I take it to tailgates and love it ! I kid my wife and say I love my Weber almost as much as you. haha

An Expensive Mistake
Shame on me for not realizing manufacturers are no longer making lava rock grills when it was time to replace my table top gas grill.
Thinking this grill would be a nice replacement for an old, inexpensive grill I bought this Weber, it is heavy duty and well made, alas no lava rocks and no grilled flavor. Weber recommends using one of the drip pans filled with wood chips on the cooking grate to get smoked flavor, but be aware this uses nearly half of the cooking grate, and most people looking for smoked flavor use smokers.
Clearly, the grill is thoughtfully designed, and again, well made. But if you are looking for grilled flavor, I would not recommend buying this grill. And if you currently have a gas grill that uses lava rocks or ceramic tiles, baby it, because you can't just go out and buy a new one.

Won't start and customer service is no help
What a disappointment! I'm sure if this worked it would be nice, but despite the fact that the ignition sparks and I've tried several different gas cannisters, the grill won't light.
I've called and e-mailed Weber customer service and they have been unhelpful to say the least. The last rep I talked to offered to send me a new regulator for me to install -- on a brand-new grill I bought 3 weeks ago! Needless to say, it's going back.
My advice -- go for the Coleman, or else buy it locally where you can bring it in for someone to fix for you when it doesn't work.

great grill and compact
Gave as gift adn have had recipient in delight feed me twice off it in two weeks. Very easy to use, stable heat and even across area, making its small size equivalent of ordinary larger grills.
Seems to be a nice combination of traditional hibachi design with some good engineering.
When my larger, much more expensive grill dies, I'll replace it with one of these, simply reworking the old one's fancy cart to be a nice stand for this grill or one of it's slightly larger cousins.
A plus is that we're doing joint cushy-camping trip with recipient and will have the Q-100 with us. A real hit.
Get a gas hose w/adapter and use it off a proper propane cylinder at home.
You will love this little grill. I have a large Weber I've used for 20 plus years. This will be another grill that will last, Very well made. I purchased this for picnics and the pontoon boat. I could not wait, so I tried it out at home, The ribs were wonderful. It cooks a little hotter due to its size, but it works and cooks great! I took the advise of others who had bought the Baby Q, about lining the inside and spraying the cooking grill, cleanup was a snap. Shipping was very fast, ordered on Saturday and was delivered on Monday.

perfect tailgating grill
we have gotten so much use out of our weber portable gas grill. It is absolutely perfect for tailgating!
This is my first grill and I'm glad I chose the Q. I've been using it a few times a week. it's the perfect size for single people. Worth every penny.
It takes about 5-8 minutes to reach 400-450. Buy yourself a Grill Surface Thermometer so you know when the grill is ready to use. It sits on top of the grill grate. link:OvenChek Cooking Surface Thermometer Don't bother buying those fancy BBQ grill tool sets. They are too long. Regular sized tongs and food flippers will work just fine.
I have the hose adaptor and a full size propane tank. I'm thinking about buying a second tank because I'm using the grill so much.

Look no further...
I live in a major US city and have been looking for a grill that would work on my postage stamp sized back deck. I have found one. This WeberQ is exceeding my expectations every day. While I have not coughed up the $$ for a full sized bottle yet, I am still cooking on the very first 1 lb green bottle I purchased a month ago. I grill a couple of times a week and I cannot complain one iota about this beauty's performance. It may not get as hot as a full sized grill but it handles simple grilling with ease and I don't care to cook with high heat anyway. I can't wait to break it out at my first tailgate event. I recommend the WeberQ 100 to any city dweller looking for a grill that doesn't take up a lot of space and offers the utility of a full sized gas grill.
Great compact sturdy grill. I've had this grill for over a month now and have had no problems at all... I highly recommend also picking up the cart for around 50.00
We really like the Weber Q-100. It's the perfect size for the 2 of us - and we like the gas over charcoal.
We live at the ocean where items left outside feel the effects of the salt air. The Q-100 can be brought inside for storage - or we can pack it in the car for grilling at the beach or parks.
The folding cart is very useful and a great design.

After reading reviews by a consumer agency I ordered and quickly received the Weber Q100 grill. Set up was easy. I've used the grill 3-4 times and have found it to be just the ticket. Heat is even throughout the grate surface. I recommend it highly.
I love this grill. It is so much easier to use than my old charcoal grill. Just the right size for my needs. It is nice to be able to regulate the heat.
I bought this for camping after my $20 grill broke, i used a friends weber q .I was so impressed i spent the extra and got a weber . I love it so much i use it for my house now for regular grilling(when im not cooking for more than 4-5 people)

Best portable grill ever!
Over the years I have used numerous propane grills, both stand alone and portable. This unit was purchased to replace our old Weber portable. At first I was hesitant to make the switch, mostly because of the size difference, but I sure am glad I did. This is a great little grill, it doesn't flare-up and it cooks even. I Would recommend this grill to anyone. After purchasing this, I purchased a Q 300 to replace the huge relic on my patio, love it even more.

Great Little Grill
This is the third Baby Q I have bought - one for myself and two as gifts. It is wonderful. We have a large weber which is great also, but this is the one we use most because its small size is perfect when we are cooking for a small number. It gets real hot and sears steaks perfectly. It is also great for tailgaiting!
Just got this one a few weeks ago and have used it twice. It was great right out of the box. We took it on a camping trip last week and grilled for 10 people all day on a blue propane bottle. (still has a little left, too) Everything cooked up very nicely, great even heat distribution means all the meat came out done instead of having to rotate the pieces across the flames. I love this grill, and if someone stole it - I'd buy another one.
I got tired of buying throw away grills that were cheap and did not have even heat for cooking. This grill works well in the wind, is still very portable, and has enough surface area to grill steaks or hot dogs for our family of four. This was a great product at a great price.

Great small grill. Cooks great!!
It appeared small when I first got it, and wasn't sure if it would grill very well. I was a hardwood griller with the Weber Smokey Joe grill, but I got tired of the mess.
Boy, was I wrong! It has an even flame and cooks evenly. The quick starter is handy. I purchased the 6' adapter to use with the 20# tank and the set up is clean. Weber makes a great product. Fast set up. Weber uses paper packaging which is recyclable. Weber's going green!
Make sure you get a good grill brush. It helps keep the grill clean.
Free and fast delivery! Cannot beat it!!

Great For Apartment Dwellers!
I've had my Weber Q-100 for almost two years now and I love it! I moved into an apartment building a few years ago and I had to get rid of my large gas BBQ grill (also a Weber). However, I missed being able to grill at a moments notice. Then I saw the Weber Q-100 at a store that sells mostly to RV owners. They had several others on sale but the store manager said that the Weber was the only one to consider. I bought one and immediately fell in love with it. It works great with fish, steaks, chicken, veggies, you name it! The grill is sturdy and well made. I've never had any problem with the electric starter as some have mentioned. A couple of thoughts:
* Use aluminum foil on the inside, or else it is a bear to clean
* Use the foil tray in the drip pan for the same reason (I bought replacements at a hardware store that carries this grill)
* Keep the burner ring free from grease or it won't light all of the way around
* It does seem to go through gas quickly so either use an adapter for a large tank or have plenty of spare cannisters around in case you run out in the middle of a meal
I keep it on the front porch where it hardly takes up any space (see my photo). I let the neighbors in my building use it as well. We all love our little Weber!

Nice little grill
I've owned the Weber Q220 for over a year and have enjoyed using it frequently. It always cooks evenly across the whole grate and requires much less time than using charcoal. We do RV camping often and I used to remove the Q220, table and tank from my backyard each time. Due to recent back problems this became more work than I wanted to do. I bought the Q100 and keep it in the RV's side compartment. The little grill has plenty of room to grill meat for 10 or more people with no problem. It performs great just like the larger grills.
Note that this grill does not have the convenient fold-out wings of the larger Q grills. I had assumed they all had them but I guess the idea behind the Baby Q is to keep things as small and light as possible.
As has been said many times, buy a larger tank and 6' hose to eliminate using the expensive small bottles. It's nice to go for a few months without a refill.

Outstanding small grill!
I don't write many reviews, but was impressed with the Weber Baby Q.
It no longer has the retaining wire for the small gas cylinder, so accepts the larger 16oz. The cylinder doesn't flop around and seems stable without extra support. Of course, many will use with a larger tank but for those that don't, buy whichever size you want.
Some people have written they've had problems with the starter. I've only used it 4 times and 2 of those times the wind was really whipping through the porch. No trouble starting it, only took 1 click each time.
I line the inside with foil and will only change it when it gets coated. That saves some cleanup. Spraying or brushing the grill or your meat (I use olive oil) also helps and keeps things from sticking so much. GREAT grill marks on the steaks!
I thought we would miss the charcoal grill with the wood chip smoke, but I read another reviewer's hint on how to get the wood smoke. Make a tiny foil pan to fit that flat area over the spark starter. I made my little pan about 1" by 2" and maybe half inch high. Then soak your chips for the required 20-30 min (I used Mesquite chips). It worked great and we had our Mesquite smoke flavoring... and it doesn't take hardly any chips:-)
Last but not least, the steaks and burgers have tasted great!! And this is soooooo much easier than the charcoal grill, specially for doing something quick after work when you're tired.

fantastic grill.. gooodbye charcoal
Last year when I bought this grill, over 100 people had written 4 plus star reviews. So i took their advice and bought this grill, you can see those reviews if you look for Baby Q.
A year later I still love cooking on the Q. I cook for three plus leftovers. The heavy grate is fantastic, all the other grills had thin, flimsy grates. I love grilling with the Q, I can cook dinner in 15-20 minutes.
I hooked mine up to a 2 lb propane tank.
This grill starts out hot for 6 months, then to get it to grill hot with a propane tank... turn tank on slowly, over ten seconds, and then light grill at the end of two minutes.
Lots of people use tanks with this grill.
Get a stop watch, and read the Webber grilling book.
Leaving charcoal behind took me way too long... this is superior.
Support from Weber is wonderful....
So buy this grill and have fun cooking this summer.

Great Grill for Everyday Use!
I've been using a Q100 / Baby Q for over 2 years now, and am still impressed by the quality of the product and what I'm able to do with it given it's small size. Here's the set up:
Q100 Grill
Weber Cart
Bulk tank adapter
5-lb. propane tank
The grill surface is large enough for a family of four. Six 1/3 lb. burgers fit well enough; more and they are hard to turn. I've also been able to do two average sized tri-tips at once. The lid isn't tall enough to allow a whole chicken. I was a bit wary of the 8K BTU rating at first, but the grill heats up just fine- it will do a wonderful sear on pretty much anything after 7-10 minutes of preheat. The heat is also very even, with the virtually whole grill surface usable. The best thing about the small burner is fuel efficiency; 5 lbs. of propane lasts all season (in SoCal!) at 1-2 uses per week. Please note that this is a single burner grill with a ring-shaped burner. Indirect cooking isn't really possible although on low heat, one can get close enough to do justice to a tri-tip.
I've only got a couple of small complaints... First, the support ring for the portable tank (at least with the Baby Q) only accepted 14 oz. propane bottles- the kind used with plumber's torches. They are more expensive than the 16 oz. bottles used for camping. I just made my own 16 oz. bottle ring out of a heavy coat hanger. Of course with the bulk tank, this is a non-issue. The 5 lb. tank (from Home Depot) is pretty small. Second, the grill is somewhat sensitive to wind. A good breeze blowing through the sides causes a definite loss of temperature above the grill surface, under the lid. Cooking is still possible but times go up about 30-40%. Last, the holes in the burner can get clogged up, especially when there's a lot of liquid pouring off the grill surface. I've had to 'unclog' parts of the burner with a push-pin a couple of times now.
Anyway, I love the product as it's about 75% of a full-size grill at 1/3 the size and 1/4 the price, within its limits (grill area). I think the only thing I'd do differently is get the version with the side tables (Q120).
Only had this grill a month but so far it's the best grill I have ever owned. I'm not a very good cook but this grill makes it easy no hot spots.
