[+] 4.0 Not for a person already in semi-decent shape
I was SO excited to get the Wii fit and have something to do indoors when the weather's not nice. I thought it would be something to teach me better balance and get more exercise and be like a fun, addicting game. I was hoping the fitness part would be as addicting as a video game - but exercising while I played! Not at all.

It's like going to a gym for 80-year-old people. You NEVER get your heart rate up. After every single exercise, regardless of how short it is, there's a long wait while you select more stuff and hear stupid reviews about how well or poorly you did. Every single time you go down the ski hill you have to listen to the music, watch the stupid character dance or mourn depending on his score, wait for the stupid machine to tell you you're "out of balance" and keep pushing "A" and wanting to scream out of frustration. There are constant breaks in the boxing, too. The hula hoop would be OK if you got to do it for longer without stopping.

It's also very naggy. It's like having a teacher micromanaging your every move, constantly making you stop and giving you "constructive criticism" rather than letting you try again and again until you get it right. I don't need somebody telling me how well I did - I can see my score.

I HATE it. When you add up the cost of the Wii itself, then the extra controllers, the Wii Fit - I spent $600.00 for a stupid machine that's good for nothing but playing Sims Castaway. We already own a PlayStation - and Dance Dance Revolution is a MUCH better workout anyway. I'm going to the video store to rent Rhythm Kung Fu. If it's not a decent workout, I'm selling the d&*) thing on E-bay. I haven't been this angry in a long, long time. That (...) could have gone to buy new cycling shoes and a TON of outdoor fitness gear.

Oh - and by the way - I'm a slightly overweight 40-year-old woman in only semi-decent shape.

Come on, Nintendo! If you want to give people a REAL workout, make an addictive game out of it. Make it like playing a martial arts based video game where you run around mazes punching and kicking people or something - something you could play for hours and only want to stop when you're so exhausted you physically can't do it anymore. This is totally lame.

[+] 8.0 Get Fit!
This is a fun game, but a few more games/exercises would have been nice. Great way to get you off the couch while playing Wii. This game would be more enjoyable if you could involve or challenge 2 people.

[+] 10.0 Adds some fun to exercise
I don't have problems motivating myself to exercise, but variety is essential to keep yourself engaged in the process and striving for continual improvement. This is an excellent way to do just that - the exercises are fun, the graphics are engaging (albeit rather low-rent looking and oftentimes too "cutsy" for my taste) and the routines are effective. I've been very happy to have added this to my work out routine.

[+] 6.0 First Impression is Everything...
I have Wii Fit and recently Wii Fit Plus. I was really excited when I got this. I love to work out - I run/lift weights 5 times a week and take a boxing class once weekly. I guess you could say I am a little more on the muscular side - I stand 6'1 and weigh around 200.

To have someone tell you you are overweight, when in fact you are ANYTHING but, is one of the most insulting things imaginable. I'm sure this has been said many times before here and everywhere, but Nintendo needs to fix it's BMI problem for the next game. The game doesn't take into account muscle mass at all - My recommended weight was 170! 170! I'm 205 right now, under 8 percent body fat! OK, so moving on now...

There are some pretty fun workouts here. My top two are the "Plank" for abs, and the Hula Hoop game. I will say, for the most experienced gym rats, and those who are already in good shape - you may not find these workouts to be satisfying at all. I found some of them to be way to easy. This game is more for people who can't find the time to go to the gym, and want to get in shape and work out but don't want to kill themselves doing it.

[+] 8.0 Game
Wii Fit won't make your body transform. Don't count on that. It's mostly just a game.
If you have very little workout experience, you might benefit from it. If you workout already, you won't be challenged.

There are only a couple of things on it that get your heartrate up-and when it does-it's not for long. That's the hula hoop and the boxing.

The running will get your heartrate going, also. You can work your way up to running for 30 minutes at a time if you care to. I use it only for the running. My husband and daughter, who don't exercise much, play the balance games.

One thing I like about it is that you can use it to track your weight. I like that I can weigh in on it and look back to see what I weighed a month before. It shows you on a graph.

I don't like when it "grills" me. If you set it that your goal is to lose some weight, it makes comments about that. I will share my personal experience with that. I had gained one pound from the previous day's weigh in. It said something along the lines of, "Due to complex changes happening within your body, you could see a weight fluctuation of as much as two pounds." That's all fine. The next day, I was down a pound. (probably fluid retention) and then a couple of days later, I had gained only 0.3 pounds--not even one pound-and it started grilling me. It said, "Why do you think you gained weight? Have you been eating too much? Have you been slacking on the exercise? Do you not know?" and I entered that I didn't know-because well-I was eating well AND exercising so that was my only other option--and then it lectured me about how I should pay more attention to what could cause such a thing to happen. Now-while I appreciate that it said such a thing because there are some people who might need that kind of tough-love, I did not need that. It was ridiculous to me that a couple of days before, when I had gained a pound, it was understanding and then a couple of days later, I had not even gained a half pound and it was giving me the third degree. Perhaps they should modify it so that comment would only come on with a 5 pound gain?
Once I had gotten similar comments after that, I had figured out how to bypass it entirely. I set my "goals" to be that I want to GAIN weight. Then, it doesn't do that any more.
The fact that you can add on to this product makes it somewhat worthwhile. The balance board is good for other games available.

If you want a game-get Wii Fit. If you want a better workout, try EA Active.

[+] 10.0 Great purchase
Easy to use...kids love it to play on...mom loves it to work out with...( yes it does get your heart rate up!...) great family fun... only drawback is that you have to change profiles when playing with the family as the board reacts to the input weight of the user profile...so if you have a child who weighs 55 lbs and then an adult get on the board who weighs 170lbs...the board is hyper sensitive to the adults movements...so when playing with a family it does get to be a hassel changing profiles every ski run when another family member needs to take their turn...

[+] 10.0 It is possible to customize
I have been using the Wii fitness for a few weeks now. I just want to say it is going to be what you make it.
I have put together my own routine, starting with Yoga as stretching and breathing excersizes, then I do the strength training, and then move onto some aerobic workouts. I usually start with the basic step, then do 10 minutes of the hula hoop, then I run. To cool down I do the freestyle step (20 minutes, quick pace). I have the platform to raise the wii board, and I also employ ankle weights and dumbbells to enhance my workout. I think you can get a pretty good workout if you think creatively. I use the "game" for an hour a day, and I have already noticed a difference. One more note also.........I have restless leg syndrome (badly), by using the Wii everyday, my legs get enough of a workout and do not bother me like they use to.
There are many activities on the disk that I don't use, as some don't seem to provide real advantages. I picked my favorite and put together that routine for everyday.

[+] 4.0 Was hoping for a full workout
I purchased this to do yoga routines, hoping to have something easy to come home to to encourage me to exercise. The yoga section just takes you to one pose each and no options for a full routine - how incredibly boring and tedious to keep having to choose a pose with the controller. The games for the Wii are fun but am not liking the Wii fit so far at all.

[+] 10.0 A Gym In Your Own Home!
Don't feel like wasting time by going to a gym and excersing every day? Buy Wii Fit, the new game from Nintendo Wii that allows you to get yourself in shape and have a heck of a fun time! Anyone can do it, whether you're 4 or 104. Wii Fit is a truly spectacular invention that is truly amazing. Below I have rated the aerobics and balance games for you:

----------AEROBICS----------
HULA HOOP AND SUPER HULA HOOP: A bit difficult, but with practice, it gets easier.
RHYTHM BOXING: I hate this one, but you might like it. All you have to do is copy the insructor and you win!
BASIC, ADVANCED AND FREE STEP: Amazingly fun games that help you get fit, without you even realising it. Cool!
BASIC, FREE AND 2-P RUN: What more can I say? It's just running!

----------BALANCE----------
SOCCER HEADING: Awesome fun! Make sure not to hit the shoe or the panda head!
SKI JUMP/SLALOM: A nice adrenaline rush. Not my favorite, but it's OK.
SNOWBOARD SLALOM: Pretty hard, but nice to help with your balance.
TABLE TILT: A lot of fun, although it's very frustrating when you lose!
TIGHTROPE WALK: My favorite game ever. It helps you keep your balance like no other game can!
BALANCE BUBBLE: My favorite game ever after Tightrope Walk. Don't hit the walls or your bubble will POP!
PENGUIN SLIDE: Pretty difficult, but still a lot of fun.
LOTUS FOCUS: Really, really hard. There's an easy cheat though.

I hope my review helps. Even if it didn't, you should still pick up Wii Fit! Also try Wii Fit Plus for an updated version!

[+] 10.0 Balance
This thing is amazing! I am surprised by Nintendo's innovation with this product. It is fun, interactive, universal, and actually healthy!!! Seriously it is one of the funnest Wii games thus far. The controls are mostly to blame. Try it at an electronic store and then buy it if you want. I would recommend it to anyone :)

It mostly teaches you balance...an essential virtue

[+] 8.0 Fun ~ you forget you're working out
I think the Wii Fit is a lot of fun and an easy way to get some exercise without realizing you really are! It's easy to figure out how each "exercise" works, has a decent amount of choices and levels and can be used by just about anybody (although it does bore my kids pretty quickly). The only downside I had with it is the length of time to set it up ~ there are SO many questions to get through in the beginning to get to the actual exercise part. In the end, it makes sense and is good to see your progress - just takes some time initially to get started.

[+] 10.0 Helps get entire family off the couch! no matter how fit you are!
Many, many different things to do on this at differenent physical levels. You could just start by playing the fun games. Balance to move balls in the whole or move from side to side to get penguin to slide and catch fish. You get more games to open up so it keeps it interesting. Yoga is on here, and teaches you the proper way. Lots of stuff. Good for entire familY! Even my baby plays the balance ball game and ski jump. Our family's favorite wii game.

[+] 10.0 Despite the research, Wii Fit is a great game.
This game is great, but really, it's not so much that it's a fun GAME, moreso as it is a fitness training game, much like Brain Age, where you take on educational challenges to lower your brain age, putting the fun in playing all the challenges and making you strive to better your results. It's like Wii Sports in the way that it involves your body and upon playing for extended amounts of time, you begin feeling physical effects, though in this, feeling the burn is the objective of the game. I personally never really went to the gym when I got this game, even though I had a membership at one, I really found that Wii Fit was a fantastic way to get my blood boiling and my muscles working in a fun, engaging way, without the monotony or embarrassment of the gym.

Overall, this game is a great game for those that love challenge-based games, and lovers of trial games, like wii sports, warioware, and brain age. Get it if you can, and remember that it's a game and have fun!

[+] 10.0 Fitting title for fitness
"Wii Fit" is one of the first games to make physical fitness friendly and accessible for all ages.

This isn't the first physical fitness game--Konami did it first with "Dance Dance Revolution" on the PS One. However, "Wii Fit" is superior to it by making the action much less based on competition and sweating 'till you drop.

It plays more like a physical fitness all-in-one video, with exercises for strength-building and aerobics. There's plenty of yoga positions and balance games. However, it excels as a physical fitness instructor for people who aren't typically health nuts. The balance board is necessary for people to find their true center of balance.

It seems a little silly and embarassing at first, but it's surprisingly enjoyable. Whereas DDR was solely about fast-paced foot-stepping and loud music, "Wii Fit" is all about keeping people comfortable while staying fit. With the cute, cartoon-like Miis exercising along with your movements, exercise is much more fun than you might expect.

Some of the games and exercises don't work as well as they should. I really couldn't figure out how to get a high school in the lotus game, in which the person must sit cross-legged on the balance board and remain as still as possible. Other exercises, such as the last Yoga poses, lack the interactivity of the balance board.

Still, the balance board is an excellent measuring stick for people to maintain a center of balance. The actual challenge is in maintaining the proper form--by keeping your balance so the red dot on the screen doesn't escape from the yellow area. It's like an optomotrist eye check, only without the eye strain. The colors on screen are light pastels against a white background, making everything easy on the eyes.

Wii Fit may not be the most groundbreaking, exciting game of the year, but it certainly is the most innovative and useful one. It's definitely worth the high price, and people will definitely want to upgrade to "Wii Fit Plus" if they enjoy the original.

[+] 6.0 Thumbs up, thumbs down
Pros:
* FUN workout! Time just flies as you play.
* You can keep switching it up to keep it from getting boring.
* Terrific for people with balance problems - daily results show improvement.
* Easy to see if you're on target for your goals.
* You can customize daily yoga/strength exercises that you do in a certain order every day.
* Terrific for those of us with knee injuries - you can do your entire work-out with no impact.

Cons:
* Balance board does not work well as a scale. I had bizarre fluctuations (+3 lbs in one day, +.5 lbs in first 15 min of workout, etc.) that were not the same results as my regular scale.
* Wii fit age function seems random. Having a Wii fit age of 32 one day and 68 the next with fairly similar scores makes no sense.
* Intervals in aerobic area are far too short. 2 min on average before you either replay a section or switch it up. I'd like more options - 5 min step, 5 min hula hoop, etc. And the option to program the game to go directly from basic step to hula hoop to advanced step to advanced hula hoop without stopping would be nice.
* Unless you are extremely obese, elderly, and/or out of shape, you will struggle to get an aerobic workout - very slow and easy. I am quite obese and 45 and the workouts are very easy for me.

Add a few bucks and get the Wii fit plus - not much more money and lots more to do.

So if you're just starting out a workout plan, Wii Fit can be a fun and engaging way to start. Just do your weigh-ins on a real scale and ignore the Wii results. And have fun!

[+] 8.0 Fun exercises, but . . .
Although I enjoy using the Wii Fit, perhaps the most frustrating aspect is the short duration of most of the exercises, with lots of button pushing in between. Especially when you're first beginning and haven't unlocked some of the longer exercises, you can spend an hour and a half completing just 45 minutes of actual exercises. Supposedly, the Wii Fit Plus, if you already have Wii Fit or the Wii Fit Plus with Balance Board, if you need the board, solves this problem for yoga and strength exercises, not aerobics.

Because I was already somewhat in shape when I started, most of the exercises do not sufficiently sustain an elevated heart rate. The free run and step programs do better, but these must be unlocked by good scores in other areas. However, for those who are just embarking on an exercise program, I cannot imagine a better tool, especially since the trainer (you can choose male or female) and the tiny Wii voice encourage the user to continue. The games keep your attention, and even the runs provide moving scenery to keep things interesting. You'll probably find, as I did, that some games are tough to figure out right away, and so, once you realize how to score well, you'll improve, and there's nothing like beating your old record.

The Wii works in two main sections, body measurement/testing and training/exercises. The measurement keeps track of your weight, records your goals, calculates BMI, graphs progress, and gives balance tests to determine your Wii Fit "age." (Expect to peel off those first "years" by figuring out what the Wii wants.) If you don't want other people in your house knowing your weight, BMI, etc., you can lock your profile and measurements using a PIN code. The exercise section is broken down into yoga, aerobics, strength training, and balance games, with the Wii keeping track of your history.

The biggest advantage of Fit is the way it helps time pass quickly. Before you know it, you'll have logged in thirty minutes of exercise. Although people swear by the Fit for weight loss, you'll get quicker and more permanent results with diet changes as well. If you already have an exercise outlet or if the weather prevents you from following your usual sport, the Wii makes an excellent supplement.

[+] 8.0 Good fun, but room for improvement...
I have had my Wii Fit since mid-August and, I have to say, I have a lot of fun with it. For me the pros are the activity tracking, so I know if and how I have improved, as well as the selection of activities to keep me coming back. I am not a novice, but I am not a pro, neither. The Wii Fit is a good supplement to my gym membership and I can use it anytime I want, which is especially nice since I live on the rainy/windy Oregon coast and work graveyard! Unlike my gym, my Wii Fit is open 24 hours and I can stay dry!

The one thing I'm not too keen on with the Wii Fit? I'm not thrilled about how the Wii Fit does not transition from one workout to the next. It's a bit chopped up between exercises. For me that's a minor issue and I still feel like I'm getting a pretty good workout. How do I know this? My muscles tell me!

Overall, I am pretty happy with the Wii Fit and I have a great deal of fun doing it. I just would not recommend it being your only source of exercise, but it is certainly better than nothing!

[+] 10.0 Wii = Fun
I would like to say that this is by far one of the best investments i have made. The wii has been able to involve workouts in a fun and comprehensive way that has made it much cheaper, fun and enticing than going to a gym. If you were a little overweight and ashamed of going to the gym, or had a lack of time/ money to make it to the gym this is for you.

Controls

Wii balance board and remote. The balance board is the best device i have ever seen constructed. It works on carpets and on hardwood floors. The board weighs you every day and is able to determine how much preasure you are placing from one foot to the other or how your balance is distributed. While doing the exercises it shows you where your ideal balance should be placed and helps you align your body properly to get the most of your workout. The wii remote is used for some tasks like running or jogging. While in your pocket or in your hand it can determine how fast you are moving just by it being on you. 5/5

Graphics

The graphics are typical wii 3d graphics. Nothing above the ordinary but what you should be expecting. If you go for a jog and take an island lap you see a very pretty island with the water along your side. Its enough scenery to keep you running because you want to see it all. The side games like balance and skiing look pretty good. 4/5

Gameplay

You get Aerobics, Strength, yoga, fitness, and minigames all in one. Personally they are all fun to do. Aerobics and strength are my favorites. If you want a break you can cool off with some yoga and or minigames to work on your balance.
-Aerobics you can do jogs walk up and down on the balance board and do some boxing along with other things.
-Strength you can do crunches, pushups, twists and so on. These are the workouts people dread but they are executed flawlessly and actually add fun to the game. As you start out you might have a task to do 10 crunches. As you do this and complete this task a few times then a new version of 20 crunches will appear. And it will go up further and further untill you get to a challenge mode which lets you go 1 on 1 with your trainer to see who can do more of the task before quitting. This is the real challenger right here.
-Yoga you get simlar yoga poses like the half crescent, or the tree. You are required to keep your balance while preforming these poses and giving deep inhales and exhales. The board measures even the slightest movement in your balance and encourages you to do better and better every time. This is more relaxing and can be used pretty well inbetween things like running and crunches to give your body some cool off time.
-Games are there to help you learn how to balance and align your body properly for other various activites in wii fit. Some tasks might require you to balance on the board to move marbles around. Or even move a character around an obstacle maze with the balance on the board. The games add some fun and excitement to the game and are a nice breakaway from working out.

5/5 for gameplay.

All and all the wii fit is a recommendation for everyone. Adults and kids alike will have fun enjoy themselves and keep in shape. You are given a personal trainer that guides you through your workouts. At the beginning you get a body test that measures your weight and determines what your body mass is. Then you are allowed to determine what you want to accomplish with your weight, within a certain time line. You can set goals for yourself that include loosing poundage, gaining pounds or staying in the same weight class. You can then check in on your goals every day and see how your overall weight control has been going on a daily basis. On a side note there is a clock that measures how much time you have invested each day. When the clock hits 30 minutes you have reached your daily goal and it will tell you. On a side note the game is designed to warn you when you have worked out for an hour time. Once you hit the 1 hour mark it gives you a notice that asks you to take a 10-15 minute break and drink some water. This is a great tool and encourages people to not overdo it.

[+] 10.0 I lost 20 pounds!
I was skeptical that a video game could ever lead to exercise, but my wife wanted this game so I got it. Sure enough, I lost 20 pounds using it. It's definitely a fun and entertaining way for people like me who get bored in a gym. I particularly like how it has a series of games that you can beat, which makes it seem as if your exercise regimen has a larger goal - to get the highest score.

Most of the exercises are aerobic, with some limited strength training. However, it doesn't have enough strength training for people interested in body building or muscle development. Rather, it is primarily a way to promote fitness and fun at the same time.

[+] 10.0 Very, very fun, very very cool.
I've wanted a wifit for some time now and am so glad to take the plunge. You won't find a better way to lose weight and exercise. It's like the wi, but for exercising, which means it's going to be hard to get off at the end! If you're looking to get into exercising, and don't know how, I'd say this is a great bet. Highly, highly recommend. To go along with this, I also liked The Game On! Diet: Kick Your Friend's Butt While Shrinking Your Own.

[+] 8.0 New Opportunities for Me
I didn't get the Wii Fit with the expectations that it would MAKE me fit. I got it with the expectations that it would HELP to keep me fit. (I know that what I consume has a big effect on everything as well as exercise I do outside of the Wii Fit so I don't have unrealistic expectations that this is some kind of magic wand) I also got it so my family, who is not into fitness but likes games, can get some active fun.
My favorite thing on there is the running. I have been wanting to run for a long time. I tried, but, had to stop due to sore knees. Running with the Wii Fit is so great! It's basically running in place-but it's very low impact and gives me the benefits of running (cardio) yet doesn't bother me physically. It's not weather dependent either-and so it opens up good exercise opportunities to me! I love to see the scenery and having the dog be my guide is kind of fun sometimes, too! I like that I can go for a few minutes or even in half hour chunks!
The hula hoop also is good to bring up your heart rate-though the games aren't long enough for anything significant. It's just good fun!
The yoga and strength stuff is okay-but I get a better workout with my exercise DVDs. If someone doesn't have DVDs to use, they might like this.
I do like to do these exercises in between running.
My family enjoys all of the games and it's a good addition to our Wii. It's well worth the money, IMO. Can't wait to try EA active as a supplement!
Cons: As with most stuff, after the novelty fades, so will the interest-so pace yourself with this! :) It helps that you have to unlock games as you go-so the novelty lasts longer and you have fun working to earn new games!
I also dislike that the Wii Fit has made fun of me a couple of times about my balance asking if I trip over my own feet. It also lectured me about gaining 1.5 pounds when, the day before, I had lost 1.8 and it told me that due to changes in our bodies every day, our weight could be +- two pounds. The way I saw it, I was still less 0.3 less than the day before that. It was grilling me as to why I had gained weight and gave me multiple choice answers to pick from such as if I had been eating too much, not exercising enough etc. Before grilling someone, it should take a look at a week or two and average it out. I suppose this could help some people if they are gaining weight-but it was just annoying to me, under the circumstances.

[+] 4.0 Unworkable over the long term
Although some of the games and exercises on this product are good, the product is simply unsustainable over the long term. The major flaw in the program is that there is excessive downtime. After each activity of 1 or two minutes, there is are a number of seconds in which the trainer "talks" to you, repeating generally useless information. After that, the "score" is posted and ranked against your prior scores, and then your wii fit "credits" for the activity (one or two minutes) are dropped into a bank. The entire process consumes an unnecessary 20 seconds. Then, there is no quick way to begin another activity: you must return to the menu and slowly select and enter the next activity. Since each activity is only a minute or two long, the whole thing is unsustainable.

This is a good idea, but until the basic design flaw is cured, the product is simply too poorly executed to really be useful. Wish I could say otherwise . . . .

[+] 2.0 This game is for playing games, NOT for getting fit
I am an army veteran, and avid sports player in highschool. I got out of the army when I was pregnant with my son. I did not work out at all my entire pregnancy and I did not work out for a year after I had my son. I bought the wii fit 1 year post partum to try to get into shape. As out of shape as I was this game was not challenging AT ALL. There is too much break time in between exercises so you can't keep your heart rate up. Buy a membership to a rec center. This game is not going to do anything for you.

stats:

145 lbs at the time of purchase
124 lbs pre pregnancy weight

[+] 6.0 Fun, but game-oriented
Some of the games are a hoot (skiing, hula-hooping)! However, the yoga and strength training are game-oriented too. Each move is individual so you can't select a continuous work-out. You select a single yoga move, do it, then it gives you a score, etc. So the "work-outs" take longer than they need too.

[+] 4.0 Its not fun
I tried hard....but it was really not fun. Its OK....if you are stuck inside on a cold blizzard day and have no option but to sit inside and all cable is gone due to an ice storm or your dish tv fell off....maybe you will find it fun.
Plus...you really never loose weight...cause its not fun and you wont do it.
I love Wii....but not this fitness stuff.

[+] 10.0 Wii Fit is great
I am in love with Wii Fit. The yoga is wonderful (I feel like I am getting great instructions so I do it correctly).
All the other games - Strength, Balance & Aerobics are great too. And I am surprised on how well they are working. This will be very nice especially on the cold days when I don't want to got to the gym or swim.

[+] 10.0 Excellent for weight loss and control
I started using the Wii Fit for exercise and weight control, and, with the proper diet I've managed to lose 5-7 pounds in 2 weeks. The fact that you can follow your BMI and weight regularly and chart it helps a lot. unfortunately, sot enough cardio games exist to keep you interested, but the hoola hoop is helpful for abs

[+] 10.0 great way to get back into exercise
I had a series of injuries and illnesses which had me pretty much bed-ridden for a couple years. I had always been active (competitive swimmer, loved hiking, camping, etc.), but after getting so out of shape, found it incredibly difficult to get back into exercise.

One thing I love about Wii fit is it gives you lots of little goals, incentives, and encouragements. It lets you see the little improvements you make, such as being a little steadier on a strength or yoga exercise. You also get "coins" just for spending time doing any of the activities. These go towards unlocking for games and activities.

And you really can get a workout. Some of the strength moves, such as push-ups into planks, will definitely get the sweat rolling. The balance and yoga games improve core muscles. The aerobics are fun and get your blood pumping. We've had ours maybe a year now, and still use it a lot.

[+] 6.0 Questionable
Fitness advice is somewhat questionable. I get that the game is essentially about balance, but how important is balance and posture to your overall health? It seems to be the only thing the game focuses on, and I find it a bit misleading. That said, the games are quite fun, the board is sensitive, and I didn't expect much more.

[+] 10.0 fun therapy
I purchased the Wii Fit just over a week ago in response to a potential medical diagnosis from my physician. I was looking for something to keep me active and involved in the program, and to help me counteract the effects of my condition by improving my stamina and my balance.

Wii Fit fits the bill perfectly. I am a self proclaimed couch potato, my preferred activities are mental challenges, not physical ones. But Wii Fit has gotten me up off the couch and into a daily exercise routine. It has me working up a sweat, and I fully expect to be active each day with this digital encouragement. I appreciate that you can include other activities in your fit log - on days that I do a lot of walking, I log that in and add fit credits for that.

My son and my husband work out on the Wii Fit as well, and, while none of us could be considered olympic athletes by any stretch of the imagination, we're all enjoying competing against one another in the various modes.

I've also enjoyed that the Mii's that you create on your Wii are used in the exercises - it's funny to see them doing the step classes along with you!

I think what I've enjoyed the most is the sense of humor that the developers have displayed, the Wii board "trainer's" comments can be hysterical.

This is a wonderful, funny, enjoyable first step into physical fitness - thanks Nintendo!

[+] 10.0 Fantastic game!!!
I got this game for Christmas, and I'm still playing it! It's one of those games you don't stop playing, there is always more things to do in the game. You can do all sorts of yoga, cardio, balance, and strength activities. Your eprsonal trainer gives you tips and tests to test your fitness age (kind of like brain age). If you tune in everyday for a weight in you can track your weight progress on a chart, and set goals to loose/gain weight. This is a great game to get in shape or stay in shape. It really is for anybody, Kids of all ages, adults, even some of my pets like to stand on the Wii fit board. This game is so much fun you don't even notice what a great workout you're getting. Whether you have fitness goals or just want a fun game to maintain your current fitness this is a great game for anybody!!!

[+] 10.0 This a Five Star Product Here, Whooo, Whooo, Whooo

Alright, a really cool addition to the Wii. It is enjoyably intelligent in its different exercises and how it rates performance. It tries to be your own artificial intelligent trainer and I have to say it does a pretty convincing job. I add this along to my various exercise activities: the more the better the abs. Swanky, Well done, a very cool addition to the make me super hot arsenal. Yeaaaahhhh.

[+] 10.0 Challenging workout program for a former couch potato
I hate going to the gym-can't stand the crowds and can't stand the smell. I bought Wii Fit and I now work out every day I'm home. The more games you participate in, the more games you unlock. For those with short attention spans, vary your routine by playing other sports like My Fitness Trainer. My focus is on balance and body alignment. Ski Jump and Tight Rope help me with my balance. Hula Hoop is great for aligning my body and giving my hips a real workout. My cardio burn routine is Super Hula Hoop and the run through the park. I'm in a job that forces me to sit for hours (I fly), so games like this are a real treat. Being able to track my progress for weight loss and other health goals is a wonderful utility.
