The Wii Motion Plus takes some getting use to. If you play golf on the Wii the motion plus makes it more real.

[+] 10.0 Motion Plus a MUST!
This is so awesome for the Wii controllers! Although, if it's hard for you to get used to it being so sensitive, maybe you shouldn't use it until the motion sensing is more comfortable for you. But if you got it down, it's a must! I don't have a controller that is without one! It's great!

[+] 10.0 Great product
We like these so much that now we only want games that use the motion control. Bowling in Sports Resort is way better than bowling in Wii Sports.

[+] 10.0 Adding Wii MotionPlus
It's takes a little bit of time to get used to MotionPlus. Just when you thought you had the knack of the games and knew exactly how to move, along comes MotionPlus. It really detects your movements! One small issue is that we have to unhook the MotionPlus and pull back the cover to continue to use our charging station. Overall a great addition to the Wii.

[+] 4.0 Battery sucker!!!!!
The games connected with this accessory are fun but not worth the battery life. I can go for days and days on double A batteries, but add this accersory and they are gone in an hour or two. Plus I really do not see the benefit....you do not hear, see, or feel a difference compared to the other games with the regular remote. I really wish I hadn't wasted so much money on this and the game... I could have purchased 2 or 3 games for the prices of everything else.

[+] 6.0 Works great, but need calibration very often
I am having the same issue as many people on this site. The Motion Plus works great when it is calibrated correctly. Amazing sensitivity. The Wii Sports Resort games are very fun. However, the Motion Plus needs calibration A LOT. Many times it gets out of calibration during a game that has only lasted 10-20 seconds. This means when you think you're hitting a backhand in table tennis, you really have the paddle behind you which means you miss the ball.

This has become very frustrating, and has made me stop playing the game as much due to the constant maintenance requirements of the device. Nintendo needs to address this, and figure out why this gets out of calibration so often.

[+] 8.0 Better Gaming
As with any product there are always improvements and upgrades. Wii improved the gaming experience with this MotionPlus add-on. It does what it says by making your movements more accurate and therefore making the games more enjoyable to play. I am looking forward to more games coming in the future that take advantage of this device.

[+] 10.0 FOR SERIOUS GAME PLAYERS ONLY
The MotionPlus device is awesome, and adds a realism to the games that support it. "Tiger Woods 10" latest golf game is a good example.

I would not be without the MotionPlus, but any game that supports it has to be played with some real athletic ability to make it work properly. For example the golf game that is shipped with the Wii is fun to play....but very game like. The MotionPlus does nothing whatsoever because it is not supported. In the default game no real "life like" golf swing is needed to send the ball 250 yards down the fairway. The shipped Wii remote works fine without adding MotionPlus.

When using the MotionPlus in the Tiger Wood's game you must swing the club (remote) nearly as hard and as accurate as you would a real club, in the real world, in the real game, to get any effect from the device.

For real life golfers the MotionPlus is a must. For those that just want to play and have fun with no real effort - the MotionPlus is a waste of money!

[+] 4.0 Is this a sales gimick?
You are required to have the Motion Plus to make certain Wii games work, like the Wii Fit and Wii Sports Resort. They charge you extra money to buy these accessories. They also have to be laid down to calibrate them until they tell you that you can use them. This only takes a few seconds though. Some games come with one "free" Motion Plus, like the Sports Resort, but none came with the Wii Fit game, so you have to buy them for this game. You will also have to buy more, if more than one person will be playing at a time. I can't say that they help to make any other games work any better. I haven't found them to help with the older games. They are supposed to make your actions more "sensitive", I think. But these should come free with any game that requires them. Not be a required extra expense.

[+] 10.0 Well worth the money
My wife and I purchased a Wii machine, mainly hoping to provide me with some exercise as I am disabled. We purchased the Wii Sport Resort and purchased two of the Wii MotionPlus attachments as they were recommended. The game is more fun than any video game machine I have ever seen, with accurate movements needed to compete in the events provided in the sim. This would not be possible without the MotionPlus.
If you love the Wii, the MotionPlus attachment is one of the most important accessories you can buy.

[+] 10.0 Great addition
I'm not sure what the complaint is about this NOT making a difference over the regular controller. I played Tiger Woods Golf 10 without motion plus then with it... Night and Day!!!! It feels like a golf simulator using the mp. For those crying about the price, DON'T BUY IT! They are trying to make money. They are selling a good product for a price the market will bear. They don't owe you anything. I want value for my money, and I am satisfied with this purchase.

With this product the "joysticks" are much more responsive. Hand eye coordination is greatly enhanced. If you have the Wii system you should have this "extra" to enjoy this machine greater.

Not sure what else there is to say other than the motion plus greatly enhances the control in the Wii game. It makes Wii Sports resorts so much fun to play!

[+] 6.0 Should have already been incorporated....
Works as advertised but should have just been incorporated into the ORIGINAL controller... This just makes you realize that Nintendo rushed to get this Wii out before this was polished properly... When you play Sports Resorts... which by the way is a blast, you can see though that this simply was something that should have originally done before market release....

In all though, works great!

This 'review' asks for a 'fun' and 'overall' rating... It's marked at halfway not because of the 'product' but ONLY because of Nintendo! Not Amazon's product base either! I love you Amazon!!

[+] 10.0 Makes gaming more enjoyable
The increased sensitivity to movement makes gaming more accurate and enjoyable. If it had been a flop the guys would have tossed it in a box or drawer, but it is still attached and being used daily. Definitely worth buying.

[+] 10.0 Wi owner
Had no choice but to buy several of these motionplus sensors. Bought the sport resort and in order to play the game you need this sensor. Some of the resort games came with 1 or 2 sensors. So to play with 4 players you needed more sensors.

[+] 2.0 Loses communication w/ console frequently
My wii remotes work perfectly ... that is until they are connected to motion plus. The motion plus, while creating a slightly more realistic game playing experience for things like Tiger Woods 2010, causes sporadic loss of communication with the console. This has the affect of making games unplayable. I will be calling Nintendo ASAP.

[+] 10.0 Fun Product, but Im not sold on it being the "most realistic" feel ever
This product is very cool, and it certainly adds something to each game. Im not sure it's the most realistic feel ever as some describe, but I would definitely recommend this product as it is absolutely worth the money... very cost effective to say the least.

[+] 10.0 Makes all the difference
Some people may complain that it took an add-on to get the Wii to do what we all expected a motion detection controller to do, but technology doesn't always move as quickly as we'd like it to, especially at a price point we'd like it to. Anyhow, it's worked out well to give buyers the option and pace themselves with regard to their spending.

This add-on is worth every penny and I can't wait to try more games than just wii sports resort (amazing game).

[+] 8.0 This new remote is cool
I like the new MotionPlus remote, but the only thing that it annoying about is calibrating it and when you accidentally disconnect it, you have to calibrte it again. That gets annoying but other than that this thing is great. I should also mention that Wii Sports Resort is my favorite Wii game.

[+] 10.0 Wii Does It Again!
Our two most-used games are golf and bowling - and compared to the package that came with the Wii, we find the motion sensor really does help make the Wiimote more sensitive to your hand movements. Also fun - the sword games, frisbee, wakeboarding - and the bicycling will definitely give you a workout!

[+] 10.0 Love using the Wii Motion Plus!
The Wii Motion Plus makes playing Wii Sports Resort so much more fun. The increase in the acuracy of the action is awesome. We got the one with the game and had to buy more so each Wii remote had one. Everyone was fighting to use the one with the Wii Motion Plus on it before. Would definitely recommend to everyone.

[+] 8.0 great addition
Great addition for the WII, if you have any game that require this then I recommend getting a couple additional ones so that you are not passing controllers back and forth.

[+] 2.0 Buggy?
I've had nothing but problems with this upgrade when combined with the Nunchuk. I'm at a loss here.... The games in the Sports Resort look like they could be fun, if only we could play them.

I have four controllers, and four motion plus add-ons, and three nunchuks. (Obviously this limits us to three people for games that require the Nunchuk, which is fine.) The problem is that only one of my Nunchuks works with the Motion Plus. The other two work okay without the Motion Plus, and the Motion Pluses all work okay without the Nunchuks. Combine them though, and only one works. No good at all for three kids. I've tried moving around the Motion Plus and Nunchuks, and it's very consistent. The only Nunchuk that works correctly with the MotionPlus is the one that came with the game unit.

[+] 2.0 overpriced upgrade
This device upgrades your wii remote and makes it more sensitive and more accurate. If nintendo wanted to upgrade the wii remote WHY DIDN'T THEY JUST REPLACE THE OLD WII REMOTE and sell new "2.0" versions? The only reason this upgrade should exist is for people that already have a wii remote and don't want to spend the full price for a whole new controller. If I were to buy a wii today I have to buy an OLD, OBSOLETE wii remote and this motionplus, which comes to $60 just for a controller! (and $120 for two controllers!) And that's not even counting the $20 Nunchuk, which is essentially a required attachment. I should be able to buy a wii remote with the motionplus built-in for the regular price of a wii remote ($40). In fact, NINTENDO SHOULD STOP SELLING THE OLD WII REMOTES AND ONLY SELL WII REMOTES WITH MOTIONPLUS BUILT-IN INSTEAD OF RIPPING PEOPLE OFF.

[+] 2.0 Not compatible with many games
Full disclosure - I didn't do any research before buying two of these. I was out Christmas shopping for the kids and got the new Super Mario Bros. 2009 and a couple of other games that were 2007 and 2008. I didn't expect the 2008 and prior games to be compatible (although that would have been nice), but Super Mario Bros. 2009? I mean, the game is by Nintendo!

I'm disappointed that there are only a few games that are compatible with the MotionPlus. I'm returning the two MotionPlus things right away.

+It is paintfull to have to recalibrate the control each 5 minutes!!!!!
