Wii Remote Controller

I believe I read some reviews saying these weren't authentic wii remotes, but they ARE and they work great ( exact packaging everything as the orginal, and we didn't forget because we got the wii plus extra remotes within a couple weeks of each other), just like our other two. I feel we got a great deal as we had to pay no tax or shipping which saved from buying from a store, which were OUT of the remotes. We recieved them in a timely manner. Nothing to complain about here!

I purchased my Wii about 6 weeks ago and I love it. I have used it everyday since purchase. It makes my workout more like fun and not work. I recommend this type of workout for everybody.

I purchased two new wii remotes directly from amazon.com. Buying directly from them, I just assumed I would get quality Nintendo wiimotes like the two I already have. I have a third party charging station with battery packs, so the first thing I did was grab a battery pack and stick it in one of the wiimotes. Doesn't work at all. Not even a light or a blink. Thinking my battery pack was dead, I put it in my older wiimote, and it started right up. Strike one against new wiimote.

So I put some regular batteries into the wiimote and it turned on. "Maybe Nintendo hates third party chargers now?" I think. I wave the wiimote at the screen and hear this strange clicking/rattling noise. It takes me several minutes to realize that this is the wiimote's "rumble pack" feature. A sickly, distracting death rattle that sounds and feels nothing like my old wiimote. Strike two.

So ignoring the rattle pack, I navigate a few menus. The cursor is shaking like I have Parkinson's or something. Games that require any combination of speed and precision are unplayable. I go to the wii system menu and adjust the sensitivity. Still no help. That's strike three.

I repeated all of the above steps with the second new wiimote. Exactly the same results. Two defective units.

I looked at a few websites detailing "counterfeit wiimotes" but I found none of the clues listed (counterfeits have subtly different buttons and labels). I can only conclude that Nintendo's QC department is lax, or they're cutting corners with (or maybe outsourcing) production now.

The wiimote itself gets two stars. It works, but poorly. Amazon.com gets five stars, even though they sent me a couple of rejects. Their return system is simple (even printed out a return label for me), I didn't have to pay return shipping, and I received a full refund less than a week after I dropped the box in the mail.


BOTTOM LINE: Won't work with rechargeable battery pack, rumble pack is all goofy, cursor is terrible.

My experience with fridayplay (fridayplay I beilevee is the name of this seller). I bought 3 remote controllers. One of them was not working and still not working. I tried to contact the seller after I contacted a Nitendo technician who concluded that the remote was defective and inoperable. I never got a response from them up until now despite their claim of working with buyers to solve the issue or even refunding me the full amount paid for the defective controller. I submitted a complaint to Amazon with no success. I really regret having had to do business with this seller. How can I get my money back?

WiiWhen I bought a Wii system I also purchased a second Wii remote controller. Good move on my part. My husband and I "bowl" several games every day and it is convenient for each of us to have our own controller. I would recommend that anyone purchasing the Wii system consider the purchase of a second controller.

Recieved product very quickly. Best deal I could find anywhere including shipping. Will definitely buy from this seller again. Very satisfied.

I bought two of them plus Wii Play with Wii Remote
I have no problem, works great and synchronize with my wii without problems

I bought this Wii remote as a second remote for the system. The first thing that tipped me off to this being a different controller than what was supplied with the Wii was that the controller was in a plastic blister pack. Nintendo usually doesn't pack their stuff in blister packs... Usually in cardboard boxes.

So I opened it up and installed the batteries. The second thing that tipped me off is the silicone jacket still had mold flash where the mold separated and really wasn't that protecting at all; the silicone was very flimsy and thin.

The buttons were also very different. They obviously clicked instead of smoothly breaking. Not an annoyance nor a problem but definitely a differentiator.

I was willing to pass on the jacket and the buttons, that is just cosmetic... then I synced it...

The rumble was not a strong rumble but was a weak, sickly sounding thing. It made more noise than vibration. In Wii Sports Boxing, the remote would not track the same, I had to hold my Wii hand up at a much higher angle just to equal the Nunchuck; right hooks were IMPOSSIBLE!

I really think Nintendo has licensed out their wii remote design to a third party with an agreement. I do not think that this is a knockoff, but obvious quality control issues are present (less fallout from manufacturing means lower manufacturing cost = lower price or higher profit). I returned this one, went to BestBuy where the remote came in a box, and have been happy since.

We had 2 Wii controllers and needed two more. I did not realize until searching for two more controllers that some controllers are not exactly like the two that came with our Wii. However, we found what we wanted (the original Wii controller) on Amazon and ordered it. And, the product is exactly what we expected. Works great - totally satisfied with this purchase!

It s a Wii product so it has to be good unless you are really unfortunate to get a bad piece. It good to buy it from amazon because they offer it $5-10 less than most of the stores, without tax and free shipping...

A great game for up to four peoples. I bought three additional remotes so we could play without sharing a remote.

One need be careful. Some ppl think you need to get seriously physical and concsequently injure themselves. My grandson sits on the couch during bowling and gets strike after strike merely snapping the remote in a short motion. (kids his age know the cheat codes I guess)

As for me, I flail around, knock over expensive lamps, hit other participants, and sometimes fall down from too much alcohol (for those interest, expensive scotch works best.)

DO NOT BUY the knock-offs from Hong Kong (if it seems to cheaps, it is) as they suck worse than a hoover or electrolux. I initially bought three and ended up returning each as they did not work properly (slow balls 'ha') etc. and were very disappointing even considering the low cost. Get the real McCoy (unless you are a Hatfield)

The controller i got from amazon wasexactly the same as any I* would have purchased at a big store chain. I paid much less for the controller from amazon and it is just as good as any.

IT WAS IN GREAT CONDITION AND THE PRICE WAS GOOD. THE ITEM CAME IN ONLY A FEW DAYS AND I HAD IT FOR CHRISTMAS.

The remote worked perfectly with the game. I could not tell the difference from it and the one that came with the game.

I bought this product as an extra remote after getting my wii about a year ago. I have hardly used this remote at all, as I lived by myself until recently and just used the original one all the time. Now that I live with my boyfriend, we tried to fire up the old wii and guess what? The extra remote doesn't work. It won't even turn on. It won't work with the rechargeable batteries or with regular batteries. I found it incredibly strange that the other remote had been through the same down and storage time and still works perfectly so I compared them and noticed that the font of the A button and the shape of the home icon on the home button very very subtly different. I google faked wii remote and have found images and articles showing me exactly the cheap counterfeit remote with the same issues that I had. Amazon says they get them from official nintendo suppliers but they are being lied to and we are getting screwed. I'm very unhappy with Amazon on this one, especially because I am a prime member and buy from amazon for anything I need.

the only problem was that it did not come in the original package, but it has worked perfectly!

We received the product in just a few days. Shipping was free so it cost less than it would have if we went to
WalMart. Would use this service again. We use the controller everyday and have lots of fun with it. We also use it at the club house for bowling tournaments. It works great and we would buy from this dealer again.

These controllers have been wonderful! We got them for christmas and did not have to change batteries until about 2 weeks ago! And my four kids use them alot!

bought 3 of these to complete the Wii system I purchased for my brother's family for Christmas- now no sharing of controllers- everyone has their own! Saved family fighting and it makes the games move quicker and less drain on battery life of just one controller. Fast delivery!

I received this and it did not work. I tried it with new batteries, and still did not work. I took the batteries out of our working wii controller, and it still didn't work. I sent an email on January 24 and still have yet to receive a response. I don't really like writing a poor review, but they say they ship orders daily, but apparently do not respond to emails in the same time-frame.

My extra Wii controllers showed up in great condition. Very satisfied. I really recommend the extra controllers for the Wii - plenty of fun as the whole family plays Mario Kart at the same time.

We, older folks, do enjoy this game - sometimes with friends and sometimes just the two of us.

I bought this Wii Remote Controller from Amazon because I knew I could get it at a better price than at a retail store. It's great and it cost less and I received it within days of ordering it with free shipping. Can't beat the price!

works great with the Wii Game system............looks and plays just like the one that came with the system.....

The best part about this is that it comes with the protective sleeve around it. (Hard to see in the picture because it's clear.)

I just noticed it the other day, as I havnt really looked at them closely but the Wii Controller I got from Amazon is a knock off.
It has all the same markings, but you can tell by the power, home and A buttons that this was a knock off. Hopefully it will last
long than some peoples remotes on here.

The wii has been an entertaining and exhausting game package. now with everyone having their own controller there are other games we can now play that work with four players and four controllers and we will be even more exhausted. My order was processed fast shipped quickly and arrived fast safe and ready to go. I appreciate when I company gets me my purchases quickly with little fuss or delay. I needed an extra remote for my wii. It is exactly like the one that came with my wii and works perfectly!

Delighted to find some controllers. We got Band Hero for Christmas and needed a couple of additional controllers. EVERYONE is sold out ... except this company AND it was delivered to my front door. Piece of cake!

The remote is really bad quality and when you compare it to the original that comes with the system you can tell it is not the same. Look at the home and A buttons, they are not the same as on the original. The sound and rumble pack don't work correctly. I returned it for a new one and it was also bad. Don't buy Wii remotes from Amazon, their supplier is screwing them/us.

Several of our friends recommened that we purchase a second remote when we purchased our Wii game system, and we're glad we did. I heard stories from other friends about how they had to travel from store to store after Christmas and had trouble finding additional remotes. The remotes seem very durable.

In the store the controller costs $39.99. But on Amazon it was $35.99. On Black Friday it was $34.99. And with no shipping costs it was a great cost effective purchase to go with the Wii.

This product came as advertised new in box. It's a standard Wii controller, and to date functioned flawlessly.

The WII system comes with only one controller so for multiple players the additional remote is a necessary accessory

You can't play the Wii without this remote. Seriously. If you loose or break your remote, this is a great replacement. It even comes with a protective cover, so if you drop it, it won't break! Yay!

I would highly recommend getting an extra wii remote. Mainly for the fact that the regular wii game only comes with one remote. If you want to do multiplayer on the wii than you need to have an extra remote.If you would like to us the wii with more than one person you need the remote. It's just like the remote that comes with the wii. They didn't change anything. Still works just fine. Uses regular batteries that are nice to keep around. If you don't plan on using the wii with other people then maybe you don't need this controller. An extra controller makes you feel more secure though. You can't forget that.

The controller is good. Saved some money by not having to buy the game DVD with this. Not any different from the original remote controller that comes with Wii. Good buy for the price.

...It's a controller. A good controller. It controls very well. Of course, Amazon ordering is all too easy and shipping is as fast as when the Wile E. Coyote orders from the Acme catalog! Really fast!

I bougth this item with a some others products from Amazon, it worked for 3 hours and that's it. It's expensive to send it back to USA and now I have to buy another one.

Someone should take more control about quality of the products and do the process of complains easier.

The Wii console only comes with one controller, so just buy another one! Very easy to set up!

I bought a Wii 4 moths ago, I decided to buy an extra control in Amazon but unfortunately it only worked 3 days, now it dose not turn on (of curse the batteries are new). I live in México and is hard to me require a warranty. Nintendo should have a better quality "CONTROL" in their products.

I gave this to my niece for her 12th birthday as an extra remote when playing wii games with her sister. Great buy!
