While it seems to be a bit pricey to me, the Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter is easy to install. Snap it into place, plug in the USB connector, and you are ready to go. I have not tried any other wireless adapters for the Xbox 360, so I cannot say if it's worth it to pay this much for wireless connectivity. I was hoping to avoid any hassles and decided to go with a Microsoft brand peripheral for a Microsoft brand console, and was glad to see that it worked as expected.
Works ok most of the time, but can cause laggyness during online game play.
Seems to not startup with the new xbox experience.

Play conveniently
This was a plus since I couldn't attach a long ethernet cable for the 360 and wireless was the only option for me. But I do plan on getting wired since I do notice a little bit of lag with wireless connection.
But otherwise, a great official product from MS that works perfect.

A MUST HAVE FOR ALL XBOX 360 USERS
I was a little nerves buying this product since I have a Mac and I'm running an Airport Extreme. But to my surprise as soon as I plugged it to my 360 and turned it on. It found my network with no problem. It asked for the network password and the rest is history. I'm in xbox live heaven.

Defective- Be careful
I'll admit it works beautifully and easily-- when it works, that is.
Before you purchase this, do an online search in google or something and check out the problems people have with this.
After one year of buying this, it stopped working. It simply stopped working. I looked online to see if maybe there is a way to fix this. I was amazed at how many people also had the same problem as me. For such a price, one would expect this adapter to last a little bit longer than one year.
An alternative to this adapter is to buy an easy access point and an ethernet cable. That should cost less than half the price of this adapter.
Some people are lucky I guess, but I was not. Do some research first, though.

If your a gamer this is a must have.
If your a game or your know a gamer. This adapter is a must have. For years I struggled with wires to connect my Xbox 360 to the internet. Once I got this adapter WOW! ! ! NO MORE WIRES! ! ! It's SOOOO easy to hook up. Just really plug it in and attach it to your console. And Bamm your good to go.
Just attach it to the back of your XBox, plug it in, and you're done! My only complaint is that it is kind of difficult to find the wireless network settings in the Xbox menus.

Wireless/Hassleless
The wireless adaptor replaced my wired connection to my Linksys router network and has worked without issue. It was relatively easy to set up -- the most difficult being going through the Xbox live on-line menus to tell it to use the wireless network to connect to, which is a piece of cake. It required no actual setting changes whatsoever. It worked from the get go and there has been no issue with interference and no gameplay change from the hard line connection. We were able to get rid of the network cable and since we moved the router to another room since then with no connection problem it was well worth the price not to have to run wire through the house and walls. Highly recommended.

Works Great!!! Recommend this product
I bought this product for about [...], but actually paid $[...] since i had earned [...] certificate from Amazon. Have not had any problems with it (owned it for 3 weeks now)and easy to install, especially if you have the wireless network set up already. My xbox is about 30-40 feet away from my wireless router and it works great.
Would recommend it to anyone that does not have the Xbox close to their modem, but if its close to your modem you can simply hard wire it to your modem.

seems expensive but maybe worth it to some
I don't own this since I have my 360 wired via a switch, but I would say it is too expensive for what it is. I'm sure it works well, but again, I just can't see paying this much for it. If you are technically adept I suggest some other wired/wireless options in order to spend less.

While the wireless adapter is a bit pricey, Amazon has the best price on the market. Everything works great, and with a house of 7 guys that play Halo online almost everyday, it's a must have. Just properly set your Xbox network settings, plug it in, and you're good to go!

Wireless is not universally consistent
I've got one of these, and run it in 802.11a (5GHz) mode connecting to my Linksys dual band router. It works flawlessly and securely, and was easy to configure.
A note to those who read reviews and are worried about getting signal, you SHOULD be. Every house/apartment/neighborhood is different, and you mileage with WiFi will vary greatly. At my house there are so many devices running in the 2.4GHz band around the neighborhood that it's impossible to get a consistent connection - there's just too much interference. I went to a dual band router, switched everything over the the 5GHz band (which has more channels, less contention from neighboring devices, and a shorter range so it's less likely to end up causing the same issues) and everything works great now. 5GHz also is less likely to be messed up by things like microwaves and refrigerators in the path of the signal.
Bottom line:
1.) If you are looking at wireless, be sure you know what you are getting into before you buy and get your initial equipment somewhere where you can return them without hassle in case your environment is problematic. 2.) Think about getting dual-band equipment to begin with as well; it costs a bit more, but it can make the difference between your WLAN working or not.
3.) Before you blame your equipment and write reviews that bad-mouth it, make sure the equipment is really at fault.
4.) WiFi isn't for everyone. If you can't get it to work, take a look at powerline networking instead. It has its own laundry list of potential problems, but if your house wiring is fairly modern, you can usually manage to pull enough bandwidth to do HD streaming and/or gaming across it when your environment is found to be unsuitable for WiFi.

XBOX 360 Wireless Network Adapter
This is a decent wireless adapter and even though i dont agree with the price of it either, its a nice addition though! But the range of it i did find problems with and also needing some type of line of sight to for the best reception. If you run a telephone through you internet box i suggest you disconnect while playing because it will disconnect you, lag, or even disrupt your xbox live experience...honestly if you can id just run straight hard wire then go wireless for xbox 360.

Only giving 4 stars because of high price
I think this is a great, yet expensive product. I hated having to pull out my modem, hook up a cord to the xbox going all the way across my room making my xbox have to sit on carpet which isnt good for ventilation and it would often heat up easier.
So now instead of having to worry about hooking up/ putting everything back I can just turn on my xbox and DING, connected to XBL.
Not all of us are lucky enough to have an modem really close to our consoles, and for those of us who have to have cords going from room to room, or as the review below from floor to floor, this is a must have. There are cheaper alternatives, but I figured why not go with the product it was intended for.

I ultimately bought this item at Target for $99. I am very pleased with how it works provided my wireless modem is upstairs and my Xbox 360 is downstairs. The connection is fast and I've never had to wait for anything to connect. It's by far the best investment I've made for the box.

Pricy But Worth It
This was my first time using a wireless network connection so I did not know what to expect. While yes its expensive the price on amazon is the best price youll find anywhere. After I had set up my router and had my network up and running I followed the instructions and was on xbox live within 5 minutes.
I use a Lynksis wireless rangeplus router, the router is next to my pc in the front of my apartment and my xbox is in my bedroom approx 45 feet away with 2 solid brick walls in between and the connection is just as good as when I connected directly to my cable modem. I recommend this to anyone looking for a wireless connection.

Wireless Device for XBox 360
I got this to play online and for the most part it does what is promised. It took a little bit to get it setup correctly with my 360 and wireless router. The CD and instructions that comes with it only seemed to compliment things a little bit. Other than that, its cheaper than buying in stores and is covered by Microsoft for six months. While there are a couple cheaper devices on the market, I trust my buy and am happy with it.

This is an excellent item that has further range than I dreamed of. I use four of these to system link 4 Xbox 360's to play Shadowrun here in Iraq with the boys, (and 1 high speed Gal). Fits easily and securly with an easy set up. With the price of the Xbox Elite and the wireless adapter is about even to the PS3 so i dont mind at all. How do you rate something that doesn't work?
I've tried two of these now and neither on them worked. I called Microsoft and, after running through a few tests, they had me send it back. I did some research and apparently there are several people that have had the same problem.
Amazon was very accommodating in allowing me to exchange one but they would not allow me to exchange the second item but issued a refund instead (per their policy). Unfortunately they also raised their price in that time so I have no tried again.
Why did I give it three stars? It is supposed to work very well if you get one that works.
BTW I do understand that the Panasonic BL-PA100KTA works very well with the 360, provides a better signal, and, because it's not 360 specific, it would have more applications for the future.

It doesn't work !!!
I tried to connect this Wireless Adapter on an Apple Network (Router) and It doesn't work at all. Even though the signal is Excellent this device is not working. I tried to contact XBox 360 Support Dept but They didn't answer my request. If anybody else had the same problem, I really appreciate any help.
This product is great! I used to have a very long ethernet cable cable running about 40 feet from my computer to my xbox. It was a real eyesore! I always wanted a wireless adapter for my xbox, but really didn't want to pay the $100 pricetag. Anyway, I am very glad I did. It is worth every penny.
Firs' off people who think its too over priced i agree with you it must have taken $5 ta' make because its just an antennae. But its profits for microsoft so i understand. But it works perfect and works every were in my house so i would suggest this instead of and ethernet cable running through hallways and into your computer. so as being honest a possible i recommend this.

Well it Works... DEFINITELY not worth the price
First of all, I want to point out that I've used multiple devices to try and get a good connection between my WPN824 Netgear Router and my XBOX 360
Logitech Play Link - Works PERFECTLY, easiest to set up, online gaming is flawless but downloads were WAYYY too slow (hours and hours to download)
Netgear HDX101 Powerline Adapters - Didn't work at all, absolutely terrible performance, barely worked in the same room
Xbox 360 Wireless Adapter - The main reason for this review, it is the nicest looking of the ones I used/took up the least amount of space. However, I got it to stream HD off of my laptop. Even when the two were in the same room in clear view of the router, I never could get more than 2 out of 10 bars for the Media Center Performance test. I was frequenstly disconnected for NO reasons, yeah it worked but didn't do what I bought it for.
My solution? The Belkin Wireless Range Extender F5D7132. I picked it up used on Craigslist for 16 Dollars SHIPPED.
The setup was not the easiest, gotta follow the instruction in some amazon reviews if you use WEP security, but once it is set up it works AMAZING.
A. It extends your wireless, so now my router is on the other side of our 4,500 sq. ft house and on the first floor, this extender is on the 3rd floor in my room, extending the internet to my laptop.
B. You can hard-wire anything (XBOX 360) via ethernet into it's LAN port, making the connection to my laptop securely in the "Acceptable Range" for streaming HD. Now the XBOX is hard-wired, I have increased my wireless rnage significantly, and I paid 16 dollars.
Point being, SKIP THE MICROSOFT WIRELESS ADAPTER, pick up the Belkin Extender, does more, costs wayyyyyy less, WORKS!

Simple Quick and Easy
Had very little problems with this, took it out, clipped it onto the 360, plugged it in and ran the tests. It failed repeatedly on my NetGear wireless router until I discovered some of the services I had blocked on all attached devices were causing the issue. Unblocked the services (except for the kids PC's - lol) and I was in business connected to X-Box Live in no time. Looks like it belongs on the unit with the clip feature and I get a great signal even one floor down from the router.

Expensive...but hey it works wonders
I will admit that it would be nice to be able to plug in any WiFi adapter and have it work. However this is quick and simplest way to connect through wireless.
If your internet router is near enough use the hard line the Xbox 360 comes with, but, if you are 10-50 ft away from it or already have something plugged into that spot this is the way to go!

Any Wifi adapter will do
For those of you who are still behind the wireless movement going on for years in people's houses (setting up their internal home networks), you may have to buy this expensive piece of plastic. Otherwise, just buy any USB wifi adapter and plug it in the back of the 360. It's not like Microsoft secretly designed the Xbox 360 to only work with Xbox 360 labeled products.
Oh, and by the way, the afore mentioned people who just plug in their linksys router and start using it? Thanks for the free internet.

Great product but why does MS always charge so much?
I have a wireless network set up at home due to a couple laptops and various gaming systems. This great for those who have a wireless network (or for those who live close to someone dumb enough to have an unsecured wireless network.) It's painfully easy to install. I wouldn't even go so far as to use the word "install", instead let's say it's easy to plug into your Xbox. Synced flawlessly with my network, took MAYBE 10 minutes including the various searching and connection testing. Do this once and you'll never have to again. I've had this for about a year and a half and have never lost connection. So... Why did I give this 3 stars?
The product, flawless as it may be, is $90 dollars for a little plastic USB network adapter that should've been integrated in the first place. I realize the 360 was ahead of the curve as far as the current generation goes, but the exodus from "wired" to "wireless" was well underway when the 360 hit the shelves. It's the same thing with the 120gb harddrive. Xbox live was already a well established facet of the Microsoft Console experience. With the amount of content available via the marketplace they should've known that 20g would not be enough. Anyway, I digress.
Bottom line: A virtually flawless wireless network adapter for the 360. Unfortunately, this should've been included with the system or at least shelved at half of what it's going for.
I have completely enjoyed this product. It was very simple and easy to install and use. It has worked perfectly for me afterwards. I have never had a lost correction. I have never even had laggy gameplay yet. I would recommend this product all the way without a doubt.
This item really works well. I really like doing business with amazon. will do it again

Far Too Expensive!!
Works OK but is too damn expensive. Let's face it, this piece of Chinese made plastic would probably cost a few dollars to make and most similar products supply these built in, so this should be a very cheap add on. It's not, it is extremely expensive, and a price gouge from MS !

Xbox 360 Wireless Network Adapter
Purchased this Adapter through Amazon for a good price. They beat everyone else by about twenty bucks. Had all the same connectivity issues that other folks have described here. Called Xbox Support and discovered that a bad batch of these had been shipped out. Followed their return instructions, received a new one and it lit up with no problems. My suggestion to anyone having issues with their Adapter is to return it to Microsoft/Xbox not Amazon (it even took Microsoft quite awhile to admit they had a problems with these). Otherwise you run the risk of getting another defective one to replace the first defective one. Not sure how many bad ones are floating around out there but there could be alot. Hope that helps.
